• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Enough of the BS and DRAMA. Whats your best or favorite Husqvarna moment prior to the SP buyout?

I was riding a I believe 1980 or so Honda CR 250 Elsinore. While my buddy was storing this bike at my house while stationed in FT Lewis. I was at the local dealer drooling and I mean drooling over a 85 or 86 or so WR 400 that I could not afford. I said to my buddt dude you don't even ride that Husky want to sell it? He said $750 bucks!!! I said how about $400 down and the rest in a month or so. He said no prob and that was when I made a bond stonger and longer lasting then most marriges with only a few affairs in between. LONG LIVE HUSQVARNA****************************************!!

MANY MANY Awesome memories on ALOT of different Husqvarna's LOYALTY DEDICATION PRIDE AND LOVE for the brand (don't worry I will secretly where my Husqvarna socks while I ride my Gas Gas!!! In process of building a new house so a lot of photos in storage. Including my boy on a Husky 50! I believe the bike below is a 1996 WXE (C?) model. And she RIPPED! Scan-004.jpgBuddy had a 1997 Honda CR 250 and we did a number of second gear roll ons and my properly jetted and geared and 6-speed Husky WALKED from the CR every time and sounded heathier!! Man was he mad!!! That engine may be dated heavy or what ever but it is ALSO bullet proof fast and able to get the job done****************************************!
