• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

fmf power core 4 slip on , now bike wont run very well

thanks I might buy one of these so that the next time im at walmart buying bananas I wont come out and a ten year old kid is riding in circles in the parking lot.....beyond that.....I wonder if my cycle got stolen and my insurance company asked me, (did u remove key ),? and I have to say "oh, the bike doesn't have a key" the insurance company might have a right to not pay the claim.?

I purchased a real cool toy hauler camper today....totally sweet.******************************************************************************** if you google or utube the following......................WOLF PUP 17rp.................

if anybody wants to see the coolest small toy hauler camper that would carry 2 husky te511.s and the camper price can be had ive seen under ten thousand, new............look up wolf pup 17rp on utube or similar.........

You mentioned Des Moines and Omaha back up there a bit... is that your neighborhood? My son lives in Iowa City and we have customers in Omaha/Council Bluffs, so Ive been in the area a few times. I know all the Cafe Husky guys in the Midwest swear by Halls in Illinois as a great dealer and resource, just like us Pacific NW guys love Bills in Salem Oregon.

Sometimes these bikes just need to have the TPS reset and the mapping checked as part of the setup. I personally use JDTuners on my 449 and 511 and both run great....but they both ran OK without the tuner, just a few flameouts and lean surges. On the other hand, our racing 310R with full FMF system is running an 'open pipe' map which our dealer, BMP downloaded for us. The JD Tuner is a bit more hassle to install than the factory plug (you run both if you add a JD) but doable with modest mechanical skills and a bit of patience (one of the plugs is a bit tricky to get to. Once its running right, all is well with the world and no more fiddling is required.

That Wolf Pup is a nice little rig. Ive found that smaller is better with RVs. If it has a toilet, stove and bed thats enough and it isnt a big hassle to drive/tow.

The wolf pup is nice, simple. I don't use a hauler, we toss our bikes in the back of the truck and I have a regular 22 ft trailer. It's not as convenient, but its better for entertaining guests(where the women hang out so us guys can go outside and drink/smoke cigars,etc.).

THOSE ARE REALLY GOOD PICS IM GOING TO TRY.......IM MIGHT BE STUPID WHEN IT COMES TO A WRENCH BUT I CAN TYPE WITHOUT LOOKING......CAN U DO THAT??? VERY NICE PICS. NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY THE MAGIC BLACK $9.99 PLUG IS SO SECRETIVE........THE FEDS DONT LIKE IT.....ALL I CAN SAY IS ALL THOSE HARLEYS OUT THEIR WITH NOISY REAR ENDS HAVE TO BE MORE ANNOYING THAN A FMF SLIP ON.........I THINK FMF SHOULD HELP CUSTOMERS.......THEY TOLD ME TO BUY A POWER COMMANDER THING....IM GETTING VARIOUS OPINIONS IF THIS IS NEEDED......IM DRIVING TO INDIANA TO THE MECCA OF RV. BUILDING TO BUY A WOLF PUP 17RP......FOR NOT MUCH MORE THAN 10K..........AND AM GOING TO PUT HUSKY IN REAR END AND COME TO CALIF. HOPE I DONT GET HIT BY CAR OUT THIER. AND ARENT CALIF. COPS ANAL? IF THEY SEE MY FMF ARE THEY GOING TO GET ANAL ON ME.? CALIF. IS SO BROKE IF YOU DONT WEAR YOUR SEAT BELT THEY CHARGE U 200 BUCKS TO GET MONEY IN THE COFFER.

I WISH I KNEW HALLS WAS SUCH A GOOD DEALER. I AM DRIVING TO INDIANA TO GET MY NEW WOLF PUP .......WITH MY NON RUNNING NEW TE511 IN TOW........(SO THEY CAN HEAVE THE COUCH OUT THE REAR END OF CAMPER AND CUSTOM PUT THE BIKE IN REAR END OF CAMPER.......PS. THEIR IS A GUY HIS SHOP IS PAULS RV IN WISC. AND HE HAS A NEW WOLF PUP 17RP........THAT CAN BE HAD FOR UNDER 10K NEW I THINK........BETTER HURRY THESE TOY HAULERS SELL GOOD NOWADAYS......TOTALLY COOL UNIT........AND EASY TO PUT BIKE IN ............
MY QUESTION HERE IS IM DRIVING PAST HALLS.......MAYBE I SHOULD SPEND SOME BUCKS AND HAVE THEM DO SOME DIAGNOSTIC WORK ON MY BIKE? SHOULD I BUY SOME POWER COMMANDER PARTS OR SOMETHING ONLINE AND TAKE THEM TO HALLS WITH ME???????????THEN IF I DONT USE PARTS I CAN JUST RETURN POWER COMMANDER TO RETAILER? IM SO SKEPTICAL THAT A $9.99 PART CAN FIX A PROBLEM.....IM TRYING TODAY.........

I STILL THINK FOR THE PRICE THEY ARE CHARGING FOR THOSE TERRAS RIGHT NOW. IF I WAS A ROAD BIKER AT ALL I WOULD BUY ONE OF THOSE THINGS........I THINK THAT PRICE IS TOTALLY GOOD RIGHT NOW.......I CANT FIGURE OUT WHY THEY DONT SELL BETTER........OH I FORGOT HUSKY HAS A LIMITED DEALER NETWORK......AND POOR REPUTATION FOR SERVICE AFTER SALE.......HOPEFULLY KTM WILL FIX THAT

It is supposed to say Race Map, yes.

If you arent satisfied with the way it runs then do nothing else and hook up with Halls on your trip. Probably want to schedule a visit.

Otherwise, as Tinken said, put on your helmet and go for a ride.

HAVENT RIDDEN IT YET BUT IT STARTS UP FINE AND IDLES FINE ON BACK OF PICKUP TRUCK NOW********************************************************************************!!! YOUR PICS WERE A LIFESAVER********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************! I DO HOPE THE NEW FMF PIPE ISNT ANGLED TOWARDS THE TURN SIGNAL SO IT SCREWSUP TURN SYGNAL DUE TO AIR PUSHED AT IT.......LOOKS OK......CANT WAIT TO START RIDING AND STOP BITCHING....KEEP THOSE PICS FOR NEXT GUY

If I could ask one other thing and that is easy on the caps, its difficult to read and considered shouting.
part of the reason I do that is im lazy and if caps is on I just keep typing the other reason is that I thought it was actually easier on the eyes to see bigger print. but I will take your advise because you have helped me get my bike running. thanks again, TINKEN, (oops)
