• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

HOLY CRAP BATMAN!! Check out the 2012 GAS GAS BIKES! WOW ROBIN holy Husky is in trouble! POW!BAM!ZOW

I thought the 200 is still based on the 250 motor? In the past Gasgas has had the 125 specs copied into the 200 specs which get people thinking it is based on a 125 finally. I think the 200 will weigh the same as a 250 as always.

It was based on the 250 cylinder and it's own 200 cases but I read the new engines have new cylinders, heads, etc so I hope it's true. I guess since they re-designed the new frame making the 200 fit in a 125 frame worked out. Man I sure hope you are right Walt and if so that new 200 should be sweet.

I haven't been able to find a current pic of the 2012 GG 200 to compare to the 250 or 125. Maybe a dealer can chime in with some inside info, I do believe we have a few that sell both marques.

I'll ask Clay the NA import man he's always answering questions over on the GGriders site. BTW I know Ridersville in WVA sells GG, Husky, and KTM.

Then the 200 must be in the 125 frame finally.
I'm not sure but the frame looks completely different and the subframe is a composite material!! They look super trick and a big leap above the 2011's. Husky guys do not think I have given up on Husky************************************************************************************************************************ Just saying********************************************************************************!!

Yes the 2012 Frame is completely different. I'm hoping the new 200 is based on a smaller lighter frame. The 11 200's were on the 250/300 frames and only a few pounds lighter than than the 250.

Think the new Gassers have the 48 Zokes on them that are suppose to be sweet!
I would rather have a ZOKE then a Kayaba. Still debating on what I will do, but if the 200 engine is in a lighter frame, WOW....................... I'm proud of my 150, BUT DA_ THE GASSER IS SO SEXY************************************************************************************************************************

Yes all the New GG bikes will have the 48 Zokes and Ohlins in the back; at least the one's comming over to the USA.

The 200 is in the 250/300 frame ,which is taller this year . So other than the drop dead looks , I think a 09 167 with the TC Zokes is all the bike they are for 1/2 the cheese:oldman:.

At least I will keep telling myself that

LOL Kevin I can't help it! Troffer88 I have a 08 CR144 Husky and it's for sure all the bike I need but.....I gotta have the 2012 GG. I have a TT Porshe 996 and all I really need is my 08 F150. Point is we are only here once and I'm gonna have a ball while I can.

Thats how I feel also. For a small bore it is hard to beat what Husky offers. But if I wanted a 250 or 300 the new Gasgas would have my interest.

One thing for all you short fat guys like me......you can add the electric leg to the gasgas 200 for about $1K. Don't get me wrong, my 165 isn't going anywhere and it is the bomb.

Supposedly the 2012 electric leg is going to be cheaper then that because the new subframe is already designed for a battery. The old 1k price included a subframe.
