My TE511 is geared for tight trail to 65 MPH cruising and i DS it all the time. Done several 200 plus mile days on it. Not a street drone but for a 50/50 of more dirt it is VERY good.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
If you scroll through each page there is either a Husqvarna Gunsight featured prominently or a Husqvarna bike image at the top of each page.

US spec models don't get any of the street equipment. I'm not sure the 2012 WR's even got the "Enduro" kit... headlight, tailight, speedo in a box that Huskys have had since 1992.Question, if the WR 300 has lights and blinkers, I wonder if it can be tagged? Is it still titled as off road only? This could be my next National Forest, short run DualSport/Weekend Hare Scrambler.
I don't think anyone thought that would happen til 2014 when they have to. The other manufacturers are not doing it ether. KTM already released their stuff, no DFI 2st.

65MPH is ok 4 me ... and 200 miles a day is more than I´d care to do. But how´s the spannering on the 511? How often do valves need to be done etc? And how long´s the motor going to last? It´s just about road legal here, but I need day to day transport. My 630 is GOOD ... but too heavy and not agile enough in urban traffic.
I believe securities law requires the publicly traded parent company to make the press release.Having BMW do the announcement is not conducive to building up the brand. That may be how BMW wants to do it, but it has a negative effect on their effort to build the brand.
Now, I could see BMW having a press release about it the next day... sure. But the thunder should be given to the BRAND.
Thanks Phoenix
