Definitely a cool bike, just not sure where the ideally it would be used? I'm eminently unqualified to give any real input. I have not been on the bike scene for that much time..
Well, if I get one it'll get used everywhere!

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

That BMW is as ugly as a SUZUKI GN250...with a bit more cc's...The original BMW version.....

That BMW is as ugly as a SUZUKI GN250...with a bit more cc's...
But that new Husky Moab...ohhh...to me it looks like a sexy party![]()
Focus on what you know and what you're recognized for.
Husky/BMW is doing a great job pulling on the husky heritage. I had many of the old metal tank bikes and other than the from "number plate" and that silly fender, I kinda like it.Theres a promo video too

touchéIf Husky took this advice a long time ago we wouldn't have any Husky motorcycles at all...
Personally, I'd prefer that Husky not divert all those development $$ and engineering resources to bikes like this and the Nuda and put them into the dirt bike line instead. Focus on what you know and what you're recognized for.
They have thousands of riders that have been howling for 2t development for years & this is where they spent the cash instead.
Granted, I realize that margins on a street bike are a lot higher than a dirt bike and street bikes are more likely to be sold to deeper pocketed riders. However, the costs to get them approved for any given geographical market are a lot higher and risks are also a lot higher if you misjudge the market......
And you'd think a bike named Nuda would be aimed at American males, too. Yet no US model...I'm thinking with a name like Moab it would be aimed at a US crowd...or is that wishful thinking?
They are working on DI 2stokes like everyone else, they have to. They are coming. These street bikes are good move to me and EZ as it is upgraded BMW models so a big part of the bike (motor) is done. Seems like a good move.
I hear ya. I have an '06 SV Standard and have never liked the ergos of it. I want something with a more upright riding position, like a SM. Or a Moab...I like it a lot! It ain't no 610, that's for sure, but it looks like it would make my daily commute into SF much more fun that it is now on the SV650![]()
I would take you for a sister in a heartbeat my dear Ol' G.O.A.T !Hmm...
It's kind of a scary thought, but I think you and I were separated at birth.
Ok, then why aren't they being brought into the USA?The off road market is tiny in comparison to the street market. For Husqvarna to succeed the brand needs to grow and it makes commercial sense to aim for growth in the market with the biggest potential return. The BMW backing enables rapid development of a street range which can bring much needed sales volume.
Off road remains core to the brand but development has to be paid for...
