Do you have to mod the air box boot?this is worth it !View attachment 65039
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

I looked at a '16 TC125 today.... I was a little depressed to see that this wasn't machined to accept a starter motor.

For me it's going to take some major developments like FI and DI and possibly E start to go for a new bike. My WR250 with 50mm OC Zokes is an excellent woods weapon and my YZ125 is the same as the 2015 which just won the tiddler shootouts in the magazines. I'm looking forward to see which company emerges with the best next generation combo. The 4 strokes have been steadily improving and are pretty amazing considering the ground they had to make up which was only made possible by the lack of 2 stroke development. My dream bike is still a 150-175cc DI 2 stroke that weighs 200 lbs and I don't really care who makes it but Husky would be my first choice if I had one and Yamaha second. That is what I was worried about was shock clearance. I should have mine by Friday. We can compare notes.
Norman, I think that it should be doable to machine the cases retro if they produce a starter ring gear and preferably a 2017 TE150 with e-start. I know lots of riders don't understand the obsession with e-start on a small bore but believe me there will be a happy audience. Also it will need to be there to spool the motor successfully once there is FI or DI.

...then I run panty hose over the top to keep the trail thrash out of the raidator....
Probably saving my @$$... if it was Monday, I'd be at the dealer already!Doesn't it suck when you make a decision like this on a Sunday? Lol
