• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Ice riding

I might come up and watch but don't think I'll ride my bike. Done it the last two years...... Honestly I have more fun blasting around the lake with friends. I'll save the bumping bars and hours on the bike. However this looks like the best weather in a while for the race. Last year was 5 degrees and the year before 30 and rainy. If you guys want to come rip one weekend let me know.

Awesome, I'll try an film this weekend's NY State Championship race in Lake George. I'm hoping for a few podiums on my scooters, not so much with me riding it but the kids I'm helping out. Great fun family and friends weekend. The cold weather is never felt believed it or not. Too much going on all weekend. I may jump on a pro 450 for the Super Senior class, #21, hope I can hang on to it. LOL.

Nice vid R. Good job on the edit. I was out there with Stew for the first race AMA tires. Didn't see you but my bike let loose 10 mns from the finish and we packed up and left discusted before the Canadian tire race. Fun track.

Yeah, I finished 20th riding solo I'm happy with that.. I had data Acquisition on my bike that logged 20 laps and I was only scored for 19 so think I actually did a little better. Oh well. It was super fun but rough. I was surprised that the track was so tight.

The YZ 250 is still undefeated in the Expert TT class two years in a row w/Jay Maloney on board and Harry Rogers won a class championship as well this weekend up in Lake George, NY on his KX 85 giving the crowd a great show with a last turn pass for the win against very fast bikes and older kids. The Traction Garage had an epic weekend and all went home with out an ambulance. My race we won't talk about, LOL.testing with HR.jpg

That was great, gunna miss ice riding but we may have one more shot. Hare Scrambles season starts this sunday, temps in the teens and snow in south jersey.
