• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Kellys ongoing goofy thread...

looks and sounds like the clutch is slipping but thats insane talk about a sleeper oh its just a z50 NOT

Yeah, I was going to say it looks like it's making a lot more noise, than power (neighbours must love that!). Maybe you're right and it is the clutch slipping.

Larry H. Parker would still fight for him...

Seeing how there is no off topic. My dad bought the kids a Wii U for Christmas. It's really fun playing with the kids but my wife and I start it up again as soon as they're in bed lol. It's a gift that turned into a gift for all of us lol

One-off and goofy aren't too far apart really.

Looks like an auto-clutch on this one. I remember grips like that on honda street bikes in the 70s.

So is this Pierer´s latest product?????

Only dukes here so far and I'm not really sure SP is after the market at this price range ... But I keep looking and expecting something to appear that he is connected with ...

Got a friend here who has the ~200cc duke ... Never rode it but I just might get in a drag race some day with it on my TC250 or WR250...Of course I'm racing ~0-60mph :) before I let off ... If I have any lead, I'll try to do a seat-bounce wheelie when I go to 5th, you know, just to give the duke one last cool view of my Husky just before he blows past me on the top side.
