• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

KTM / Husky speaks about the future...

WTF .. ~3 pages of yamaha crap in a sort of decent thread ... what a f'ing waste.

If someone comes here in the future and tries to make sense of what is happening with the Husqvarna company and ktm, you just wasted their time and probably stopped them from even pursuing any more on the topic.
Glad Ray_Ray joined in with his typical douschebag reply...

How does SP get his company sitting so nicely inside KTM_AG?

How about this for a F@#$ing reply. KTM is not making a F@#$ing bike for a tall guy which leaves Yamaha, the old Husky and maybe Sherco. So if KTM/white Husky wants to "Speak to my future" and sell this tall guy a bike then they better build a F@#$ing new one because the 9k orange bike with white plastics doesn't cut it.

I like the FE 501 and I am 6'6. It's pretty tall. We actually had to shorten both our 501's for Ty and Jackman.

Could you possibly be more rude? You forgot to tell us how horrible the USA is this time. Like most any thread the topic gets talked about til everything is said and then drifts some. So what. Its a forum for conversation. I'd rather see a little topic drift than another F-ing post from you ripping the good people on this forum telling them they are wasting your time and doing a disservice to this forum. Dont like it report it to the mods and don't come back to the topic.

As for the topic I can make a fancy flow chart showing me as the CEO of Microsoft. So what. And BTW Ray, they are talking about the topic, they are talking about alternatives to the KTM/Husky based on the doubletalk we keep hearing from KTM and the choices we have left. I like the new KTM/Huskys just fine, the one I rode was very good. So I'm not bashing just talking about bikes and choices of which sadly we have one less.

I thought the reason we were talking about other bikes is because the orange dude being interviewed in post #1 said nothing about building a different bike. A lot of us bought a Husky was because it suited us better than a KTM otherwise we'd already have an orange bike and be on KTMtalk and not the Cafe. Yes I wandered a bit but did so thinking that due to the tone in the interview it doesn't look like a tall guy who likes 2 strokes is going to have much to pick from in the new Husky/KTM line up. Tinken says I should try a FE501 and that might be great if it wasn't a 250 lb 4 stroke. OOPS! there I go off topic again

Not only did you go off topic, you F@#$ing swore three times in one post: 1.KTM 2.KTM 3.orange :):D;)

Oh that's true DM! My eyes were streaming tears in my goggles at the same time. It was like a blurry, exciting adrenaline rush. Kinda like when the Millennium Falcon makes the jump to light speed.

Come on this is an open forum of many peoples opinions. Heavy handed bashing goes on all the time against people who think for themselves and have their own opinions. I don't see anything wrong with having an opinion that is different than others. At least the openly opinionated people don't have an openly obvious agenda (Parts Sales) like the sites main Bashers, that seems to go along through all the threads and posts. I think this would be an issue that should be addressed by Site Moderators, without having to be told to report it, to do so. If there was any "Moderators" that would do anything, The "Moderators" here are the Sales Dept. "Sponsors". Hello?

BTW, too many PMs from the "Sales Dept." people complaining about others also. Trying to convince others to think their way. I've gotten a few myself. They act as if they own the site and just can't stand any controversy. Those who are on their knees and suck up to whomever during this type of activity need to remember this is a open "FORUM". Without the long list of "THE MEMBERS" on this forum "BEING INVOLVED", this site would be nothing but a bunch of guys selling parts and other products to each other on a shared business website. Sponsoring each other. Paying to be on here doesn't make you any better than anybody else either. Thats my opinion and I have many opinions.

We are all in this together. Get over it! Let the opinionated people have their say too. Without the Bashing! We are not your Wife,We are not your Kids and we certainly are not your Dogs. So check the "Personal BS" at the front door in the morning.

Enjoy whatever you ride, nobody is any better than anybody else on here.

BTW, I happen to like the new Husky's too. Along with the KTMs. Any off road capable BMWs, also Beta's, my old Maico's, Husabergs, Sherco's, TMs, Gas Gas, If its a European bike, I dig it. The lower production numbers the better, the tricker the components are the better. I personally would'nt ride a Japanese cookie cutter dirt bike. Whether they are good or not, only because there are just to many of them. Yet I owned a few Japanese Quads some years back. Does that sound like contradiction? It may be to some. It is to me and I'm over it. So tough. People have a right to their opinions.

If people on here are stating so called facts, substantiate those facts, otherwise it's all BS. Another one of my opinions.

Thank You. Now let the "Bashing Begin". I'm sure it will happen and I'm over that too.

Now I hope you all can have a good day.

Big Timmy-I think I know what you're referencing about your issues specifically. I don't remember you treating anyone or anyone treating you the way he's continuously treats people. I actually enjoy reading your arguments to an extent. I'm not mechanically inclined and with the back and fourth crap in that situation I may have actually learned something lol.

With that being said, this board hasn't been the same since coffee's been MIA. This thread would have been locked or posts would have been deleted and everyone would have been warned. He's actually been booted temporarily for it before and warned several times by Coffee. I'm guilty of going overboard in my post here. While I normally tell him the same thing but in a professional way...well tactfully anyway,it was nice just saying what I really think. It's old reading the same person straight bashing everyone for any little thing.

Like Motosportz I'm sick of the US bashing. He didn't like things the way they were headed here then good for him for packing up and leaving. I've actually fought for this country and have had the blood on my hands to prove it. I like others here have lost best friends and have lost a part of ourselves. I'd leave that crap alone if it were just me on here that has done so but I'm not and I'm doing a disservice to them if I don't speak up.

I agree with you entirely about the different brands. I'm guilty of getting butt hurt at times about the orange take over but at the end of the day, I'd love to be like Jarvis on a te300 :). Even better would be the new Tc250. A 2 stroke Supermoto would be about the coolest bike in the world to me. Never did get to buy an Aprilia smoker :).

We're all going to kill this forum whether it be the general attitude or people not buying the new bikes. At this point the only draw to this forum is guys buying discounted red bikes and this place is a wealth of information for that. Thankfully we have some great people that have swapped to the white bikes and will slowly pick this place up again.

You quoted me and then wrote this. If you intended this to look like I was the one "bashing" you about product I think you have the wrong guy or at least your post paints it this way. Pretty sure it is another vendor you had issues with not me.
