• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

KTM/Husqvarna... now how will this play out?

2011_12_13_bikepics-2315512-full.jpg the biggest fish sized rocks i ever ate was when i was tapped in 5th thinkin i was huailin only to be literally passed like i was going backwards then fed stone spray sammiches by one of these as "my pal" snicked into 6th doing bonzai runs in truck whoops...i hated this bike, impossible to keep up with and it coined the term 'sacry fast'. warp speed and NO BRAKES! lol.

While it is attractive, the purtiest Huskys have aluminum tanks with shiny spots on the sides. 125s are yellow, 250s red, big bores black or green

a random sample stolen from the internet in case you younguns arent familiar ;)

I have an 81 XC430 with a red and shiny tank

You gotta add a splash of purple to that mix.

Oooo, I forgot about the purple.

**** I think we should officially close this thread.....we are so far off topic that we couldnt find our way back with GPS.
When SP makes an announcement about the future we need to start a new topic for it.

And the biggest of them all had the silver tank.

Gosh I miss the good ol days running them ol Huskys.

How many times did you finish motos with schrapnel cuts on your face between your Jofa mouthguard and goggles.

I had that 430 but was the CR with WP upside down forks.

JUST think Gram Jarvis on a Husky/Husaberg that would be just great one of the best in the world on a Husky
CAN WE SAY BIKE SALES

GJ on a Husky, wining Erzberg! I bet a Husky would magically direct him to the checkpoints. (They need to mark the course better)

I would tend to disagree that SP is going to eliminate Husaberg. My dealer sells every single one he gets in. They are more exclusive than KTM's and cater more to older folks with more money to spend (like me except without the money).
As for the PDS, the only company that got it right was the one in my Avatar. Total Cadillac. I dislike the PDS on my Husaberg SM 570 on the street as much as I did on any of my off road KTM's. I always hated feeling like I needed to adjust my suspension 3 times per lap during a HS. I am happy to have a Husky with linkage for offroad. They better keep the linkage.
