• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I removed the image after receiving a phone call from FMF asking us to do so and keep this quiet. I am fully floored with FMF at the moment and will look at different avenues for exhaust systems in the future.

Yeah I'll never own one. Hopefully KTM and Husky find a new sponsor.
 
I have a complete FMF powerbomb I got from Tinken for my TE511. Have not mounted it yet now not very enthusiastic to do so even though they did not get a dime from me. This whole thing is odd. FMF is a huge company with lots of $$ I am assuming. Kurt I'm sure sold a lot of systems for them using his name and granted they supported him big time too. They stepped up to do what seemed like the right thing then really just made big profits and skimmed a little for the Caselli family. This is all second hand info for me so it might be off base / not true but if it is, why do that? If this is all true FMF should save face and give the Caselli family ALL the profit and they can keep their costs. Its only right. If this turns out to be not true I am very sorry FMF, if it is true, and I think it is, please step up and do the right thing and save face.
 
It's still a great header for the 511, I'll keep mine on there until I design my own. But I will be grinding off the manufactures tag.
 
Wow, just wow... FMF can afford to do the right thing and for their sake they had better because the patrons and customers are more like brothers and you don't crap where you sleep.
 
The excuse I got was that FMF eluded to holding back the money to setup the safety foundation, blah blah. How long does this take? I should of seen this coming when all the advertisements asked for "required cash donations" (bottom of advertisement).

I was told I went straight for the jugular on this one. But I have always stood up for what I felt was right and have tried to do the right thing. Whether it was this forum board, Husqvarna or any list of companies I have challenged, including my own, I have always stood up for the riders in the community, that's just who I am.

again if this is true how much money would fmf have pocketed as opposed to how much they will now lose in sales & bad press?! pennywise, poundfoolish. they should have paid costs anyway & given the family it all-tax write off is it not? pathetic.
