• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Kurt Caselli Passes away ..

I really think that there must be more to this and it is too early to talk about it unless all the facts are out.
Like the early rumors that he was killed by a booby trap.
It is really WTF to me.
 
It wasn't enough that I took down the images I had found and questioned FMF. Little Donny of FMF previously called Ty and we stopped at that point. Little D (Don's son) proceeded to call John Erik (KTM President). John Erik proceeded to ream poor Andy Jefferson (Husqvarna Team Captain) who had nothing to do with FMF scandal nor did not have any knowledge of the event. Who then called Ty Davis. Not once did FMF ever deny the allegations. This isn't the first time FMF has burned their riders, they cost ZipTyRacing thousands of dollars in the past.

ZipTyRacing has designed exhaust systems in the past with great success with the two strokes. Ty has been bugging me to design a new exhaust system for the four strokes for over a year now. In lieu of recent events, I have decided to accept and build my current exhaust designs.

I am pretty sad/sick to hear what happened to my friend Andy. I'm done with F brand. I will no longer sell nor support FMF. Yesterday I fitted my new Akropovic race exhaust to my 511.
 
To easy, not buying FMF anymore. Can't believe KTM isn't stepping up about this with FMF. Makes me not even want a KTM/Husky. They're watching this company screw over the family of one of their own.

We should all step back and chill a second. Slander is not good. FMF is not represented here nor should this be the place for it. No rip on you Tinken, totally respect all this and under stand but need to make sure this does not cause more (Andy) pain. The interwebs are tricky. :>) Rant off.

Wish Doma still sold pipes here. (2T)

That shit sucks. One guy gets blindsided inadvertently by a friend, no one wins. Guessing Andy is the type of guy that can take it. Tough industry / hard work and he has been there done that.
 
When I first met and befriended Andy, I had no idea who he was. Andy and I used to talk about how we can just make things better. He is one of the coolest, down to earth guys I ever met. Ty and I are rough around the edges, but Andy is just smooth jazz.

Didn't get back home til today to tell you we had such a wonderful day remembering Rich and Kurt. And I cannot thank you and family enough for being there with all of us to laugh and cry while we shared our stories. Thank you Nancy. - Michael

heads up... Caselli 66 – Ride The Dream is now available on iTunes. bought it as soon as it was released. tearjerker.. .
 
That idea about using a GPS to try and track the racers as they race holds promise I think ... There might need to be some simple 2way communication between the riders on the trail and home base but I don't see much of a issue there with todays' technology ... Some one just has to open their wallets. And I don't see a real problem there as these companies have plenty.

Good luck to everyone on the video who are trying to make things a little better for everyone ...

This would be ideal, but it is an issue even with today's technology. Much of Baja is remote and mountainous and even the high power radio's that the big boys use don't always work.
