• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Logan Is a Happy Guy !

Learned to ride on a golf course?! Do you know how many people dreamed THAT dream?

Remember the old Dirt Bike article from the mid-70s where they went back east (PA I think?) for a RACE on a golf course that had been sold to developers?

SUH-WHEET!

That little guy is haulin! Good form!!! I have some grandkids coming up, can't wait! Also, good incenatives are the way to go but you have to stick to it. That 1st kid is going to be a heartbreaker just wait & see.

Not trying to take away from Logan....I got video of my son Jackson's second trip to the "woods" & some pics of him on a PW 50. The video is of me yelling instruction , please don't take it wrong. Because my son is of my blood, I know how thick his head is & how sometimes his ears don't function properly....After all he is just 6.

Oh man, You're screwed. Your gonna be buying him a new bike every other year now!!

My son just turned 11 and is on his third bike. I just sold his KX65 and moved him to a KX85. Seems about every two years he has outgrown his bike. Hopefully the 85 will last him till he's 14 or 15 and ready for a full sized 125.

Looking at the front tire picture you can see a side knob torn off. My son went through two front tires to every one rear because the side knobs kept getting torn off. I never tried Bridgestone on his bike but it happened on both Dunlop and Michelin tires.

Swingarm and shock service...

Noticed too much play with the rear shock... stripped it out and found a broken washer on the frame that goes thru the front linkage mount bolt...

Bearing will need a good service anyway..:

Rainy day here in SoCal so I took the day off and went over to see my friend Bob Haye. He does all of ProCircuits Race Frame Welding as well as Team Rockstar Factory Suzuki.... he made repairing and strengthening the front linkage mounts short work. No more wallowed out holes and both washers welded back into place...
