• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

He needs some gloves.....

True. Go to Smart&Final and pick up a box of small sized disposable food handling gloves. Probably around ten bucks for 100 gloves. That's what I have been using.

Mommy had just came out a little earlier as these pics were taken... her first comment:

"Logan is that your shirt that you just wore for Christmas Pictures? Tim what the hell are you doing? Is that chain grease on the front of your Christmas shirt? Take it off right now..... "

Loganandnewchain.jpg

OOOps.... I think I might have screwed up yet again....

In any case thanks for the glove recommendations... might have saved the Christmas Picture shirt some spray and wash time!!!

I've been seeing pictures of Logan for a few years now. I almost feel like part of the family. Looks like he is growing very fast. :)

Thought it was time , ( now that Coaching and playing for Little League is done for at least the next two weeks) to get some more work done on this...have been collecting bits and pieces for a while... Logan crashed Hard at Cahuilla Pee Wee MX track back in mid December and there was no interest in riding for a while... largely due to the cantaloupe size bruise he received on his left shoulder and a sore neck for a while...so I listened to what Palmer84one has always told me about kids and riding so I let Logan nurse his wounded pride and ego and to give hime some time to get his cajones back under him again... now he is back at it and asking me to ride again.... wants the Green Machine to ride now....CRF50 is now physically to small for him... he has grown almost 3 inches over the last 8 months....

Logan gets to strip the carb and old throttle cable , clean and rebuild the carb and put on a put on a new Motion Pro Throttle cable...
Stripped off Carb

Went to the local Kragen Auto parts and got his own can of carb cleaner.... this stuff smells funky dad... but this is fun!

Not to bad for a kid that just turned 7.... he did all of this work himself under my direction... took
us about three and a half hours at 7 year old instructional pace... great morning...!

He likes having his own work table... ( at his height) and I have started buying him basic tools for "His" tool collection... the favorite so far is he got his very own Swiss Army knife.... Mom has now hid it somewhere that neither of us can find... only allowed when camping or so we are told.....
