As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Haha I should have said "my own $9k bike" hahak5pl5 i would love you abuse a 9k dirtbike in anywoods or anywhere just dont want to see the blokes face when i give it back...![]()

He was a big part of the 4 stroke section and telling us about the new bike.p.s. why's this in 4 pop section its a 2stroke bike?
Before you spent too much money and turned your back on Husky you shouldve given a WR300 a chance. Amazing bike amd much cheaper than a KTM. I wont deny the KTM has its advantages but I dont care to abuse a $9k dirtbike in the woods and at races.
I just road it in my alley lol I retract everything I have ever said negative about 2t power, this bike easily lifts the front end up from idle and will do so from allmost a stall in first gear, Wow ! Going to need to be on my game when riding ! Transmission is silky smooth so far 1-3 and has flywheel up the yin-yang compared to all my 4t's of the past, starts easily in gear with e-button.Make sur you do a full review against the 511.![]()

I'm a bit curious, are you going to pull the moto-mule with that 2st?No more Husky unfortunately . I own a single bike now.

If I can get a fare offer for it I will part with it . It will work on my new bike too.I'm a bit curious, are you going to pull the moto-mule with that 2st?![]()
I briefly looked at the WR on the showroom floor the day I went and got my Ktm , also read shoot outs and watched the vids on YouTube .I don't own either bike so I can't give an honest opinion but from what I've read the WR300 is on par if not better than the EXC300. Sounds like you drank
the expensive coolaid. Nevertheless you made a smart decision getting a true woods bike.
All I need is a warp9 front brake setup and I have dianeese track suit allready and kept my street tires from my 511.... The minute I leave this state it's bullshit will follow me to the next state lolOnly downside I can see....No Asphalt For YOU!!! So when are you moving to a non-nanny state where you can plate that pumpkin?
Im anxious to ride a 2012 300 XCW soon. I friend of mine just bought a low-hour used one a few weeks ago. It will be interesting to ride it back to back with my WR.I briefly looked at the WR on the showroom floor the day I went and got my Ktm , also read shoot outs and watched the vids on YouTube .I am a detail and functionality nut and the two don't compare in my eyes. Obvious differences were Ktm's wide ratio six speed , e start , aftermarket options , better quality components, superior design overall . Less money I will need to spend after purchase to be happy with what I got. I drank pleanty of kool aid in the past and I am pretty sure I got the bike that fits me. Straight away I knew the WR wasn't the bike for me , on paper or in person .
