• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Magnificent 7

Ok so been dialing in the Fox bike over the weekend. Thanks to Gary for getting me a starting point on Jetting.
Been doing things one step at time. Timing, jetting and etc.....
Bike wasn’t as strong as the Maico 250 but running good.
So been working on inside of carb doing my mods. This thing just likes to stand front end up now and just rips. Not sure if it will beat Maico but it’d be close.
I’m super happy and this gonna be one of my favorites.
I like the 3.0 slide, 42.5 pilot, 450 main, R-4 jet, 6 DH20 needle, middle clip. Bike is close but still lil lean.
Gotta back Fox Shox pressure down about 10lbs and think they are good.

Oh John! Bike sounds awesome with snail pipe and has that nice Factory bike rasp to it.

Moved clip down one slot on needle to raise it one clip.

Front brake sucked so I re lined it today.

One step at a time is the way to go, and stock Husky 250's were never strong, think smooth power.
So if she rips, it's the pipe & carb mod's are the reason for sure, awesome  , & right now the cool
weather should be perfect for it.

Few pics of the 3 Amigos. Only 4 more to go! It's been years since I've looked over a Preston Petty fender, up front. Been years in the makings (7-8?) but I've got countless hours in these bikes.

Here you go John!

Last night before putting bike away the clutch started slipping. So looks like New Plates, Fibers and Springs are in order. I just cleaned up the old stuff, which looked good, to save few bux, so not surprised. Then got few bolts loose I have to go back over.

Couple Videos.

Some progress!

I stripped the triple clamps and polished them and finished my aluminum air box I made years ago, then polished it up. I also changed color scheme on my shocks.
