Nice work. Some great progress. I'm watching.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Something capable for aluminum and mag is not a low end welder. Eastwood has a TIG that has switchable wave for about $600. You can also weld stainless with MIG84 scrambler, the black rims and foot pegs look great. What kind of tig are you using for the pegs? I'm considering buying a small one for all the damaged cases I've got.

I'm back guys, sorry it's been so long. I have been trying to finish my jeep and got side tracked. So I put the tank on and took some poser shots..

So this is where I made it to and now I am in need of some info from you all. I am going to need a rebuild kit for the ohlin remotes and one new shaft as you can see in the pic. Any ideas as where to purchase such thing? or any body have this stuff cluttering up their shop ?
I am doing the engine now , just orderd a piston kit and put new crank seals in the bottom. I did look at the reeds the other day they seemed okay a little dirty but no cracks or lifting. What is this mossbarger cage thing ? after market ? sounds like a shot gun...lol If the reeds look good, is there anything I should do or change to them?
Yeap, Drew is the man on Ohlins, his got lots of trick for Vintage Husky, now that his ridingI think he is in Arizona, but I think I am going to send my rear ohlins to drew at WER I keep hearing he does amazing work on ohlins and they do suspension work every day.
