• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My Cat Says AREAR!
So since I've been picking up a lot of bikes over the years and just don't want to have to spread them all over the interweb or the cafe I'm going to start putting them all on here.
Thanks Chris

So let's start with my newest
1967 BSA B44 EA
It's a Victor 441 Enduro
I picked this up last week got it back to the shop and got it running missing some stuff Rusty and looks like I got hit by a car
I found a partial gasket missing on the intake manifold which was most of the flat spot The rest of it is the needle jet is a 106
But the manual calls for a 107 so I have those coming also got some rubbers for all the feet stuff shifter kicker foot pegs
Shocks the right hand shock is bent really bad so are the handlebars or something is when I write it it's leaning a little bit to the right enjoy the pics

Here's a 1954 Excelsior Talisman 250
It's in pretty good shape and runs. Needs a Kick Return Spring and a Battery Box. It is a 2 cylinder 2 stroke. And a Plunger Rear Suspension.
Speedo is out for repair and the Coolest Thing it has a Keyed Throttle. I'll get a pic of that tomorrow!!

If you zoom in on the 3rd pic in the collection you can see the keyed throttle. SO COOL!!!
When I post up pic from my google photos app you can use your mouse wheel to zoom on the pic it may take a second to focus but these are taken with my pixel phone and it take great pics as long as I'm not shaking!!

Hahahaha
I was riding that BSA and I was pulling up to the shop at about I don't know 5 mph I hit the front braking it locked somebody had left a huge oil slick in front of the shop and I laid it down rolled my toe all it hurt
I'm all healed up now then two days later I was in bare feet and I kicked one of the steps out front oh it hurts so bad but it's all healed up now everything's good but the limping

No key crash
I'm not sure it's factory could be aftermarket but I think it's pretty cool either way it's buried behind all my other bikes so I'm in the process of putting them on on all on rollers so I can get to him easier that bike needs a kick spring and the rotor is a bake a light rotor that's got a crack in it so I don't want to spin it up too bad I got a new one it's a custom-made and a spring coming in from England so we'll see it's kind of on the back burner right now as I've been moving machines out into storage from the shop

To get around Bonding and something else i cant remember
Vermont would give a transferable registration and plate
you could ride that to expiration and take it to your states dmv and get a title and reg and plate in your home state

So since most of my projects are in other hands
3d printing, polisher, boreing cylinders
I started back on the chopper.
So I built a Chopper Many years ago, an Amen Savior Frame with a Used 77 KZ1000 Motor. P&P Girder Front End, with Satellite Wheels and A Diamond Tank.
About 4 years ago I slid out and the carb set got knocked off and the fuel lit off and the bike burned to death. I did not get hurt.
So I have jerked around with it since. Blasted the frame and got the Wheels and Girder Re Chromed. Picked Up a Decent Seat and cleaned and painted the Tank and frame with a rattle can, but I'm Digging the Color ahah and slapped some Husqvarna Stickers on it! Hahahaha.
I bought a toolbox and welded the bike to it for ease of movement and storage of parts.
I bought a Turbo for it and got a set of old racing pipes that came over the engine with a 2 stage boost release valve.

Today I got back to it since the Boat motor has parts out for polishing and the Husqvarna has the cases at the 3d Printer. I could work on the control panel for the Lister but I want to get this thing running BEFORE the Spring.
No front brake and a KZ Drum out back. 1 Cable to the carbs and No Switches or Gauges Just a Key.
The bike Smoked a bit when running and would backfire sometimes too often.
The Straight Pipes sounded like a Kamikaze coming in Hot at 65MPH!!
Today I pulled the cams and head and found it has been burning oil for a while. Found the #1&4 pistons kinda loose in there holes and the holes look like the Motor has been Swimming.
So She's gonna need some Parts!
Gasket Kit
Piston Kit
Valves
New Guides
Valve Seals
Cylinder bore
I haven't pulled the cylinders yet and hope for the best.
3 of the exhaust Stud holes are damaged and need welding.
Plus a couple of fins to repair to make the head whole.
I only Want to do the Top End because the Bottom seemed to Shift Fine and probably Just needs A clutch Kit and oil pump Service.
So Here's some Pics.
