  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New 13 TXC 310

Yep I remember that decal, got my blue Bell Moto with the yellow sticker on top('78 or '79). All scratched up too, some Enduros in PA they would use the drainage tunnels under the Interstates to get from one side to the other, some were kinda low.........

And since I remember that I'm tryin to decide how I feel about being a "old timer":oldman: Helmet looks great by the way

I had a yellow Bell Moto III in 1979, and that was the coolest helmet- probably why I still can seem to look at another brand- I love BELL helmets. :o)

OK- I know this is a late reply, but I just got my 2014 TE310R in March. Your rig is SWEET! Very nice looking ride. Thank you for sharing- I have a lot good ideas from your post. THANK YOU!

Thanx , your gonna like that bike ! Best one I have ever owned .

My son got a left over 14 Tc 250 and I like it as well. Wouldn't mind picking one up as well.

We went to go riding past Sunday and notice oil under mine. Come to find out all my case bolts were loose behind main cover on clutch side. One was missing behind kicker. Not the clutch cover but cover that houses kicker shaft etc ..... Tightened it and put new bolt in and good as new. Must of come loose cause I went over everything when got my anodized outer cover.

Bad news, I snapped my back brake lever off riding. Nailed one of those big excavator tires wrong . I hate Goodyear tires now!

What is everyone doing for a spark arrestor on this bike??
I got one from Husky for $30. You have to remove the stock insert but this opens it up make it run a little better with just a little more noise. I can't remember the part number but it's listed in my 2014 owners manual. If you need me to look it up let me know.

P.S. Walked into my garage and found the invoice. Part # is 8000H6855 from BMW Motorcycles of Atlanta $28.70

Well got my lever straightened out, lil too short, and going to do a little fabbing to it to instal a Hammer ahead rotating tip that is anodized red. Try to post a pic when done.

Here is the older lever re worked with a new Hammerhead tip.

Nice looking shifter. Just to clarify, mine is seeping oil at center case gasket. Are you saying there are bolts inside the clutch cover that may be contributing to this? I was hoping I didn't have to split the cases for a new gasket.

I'm thinking that your center case bolts probably vibrated loose like my inner clutch cover one did?

Look at the inner clutch cover first cause at first I thought it was center case gasket on mine or the hose on bottom fitting by drain plug. If not pull up engine schematic to see where all center case bolts are.

I have to agree with ya, although I have a MY12. The only time it does something stupid is when I ask it too! Still just purring along, plus I'm hoping to get a Rekluse on this summer.

Thought I'd invest in some 7602 black covers.
Spruced them up with blasting a Husky logo in them.
The clutch cover does not clear the Core EXP Rekluse so i machined out a 1/2 in spacer plate.
Holds and additional 50cc of oil. Also, plumbed the spacer plate for a barb so my next move is to get a reusable in line oil filter, and run the oil return line into here.
When checking my valves, I took valve cover and polished it.
