• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New 2012 Husqvarna Te650 Soon!

I have pix of the 650SX model :D another BMW first, a plated supercross bike. Ride to the SX, qualify, dominate, ride home.

I was told by a husky rep at the Durty Dabbers National Dual Sport ride to look up the Strada. that there will be something called the Terra coming out and it will be dirt oriented and pitched to compete directly with the KLR. I looked up the Strada, that bike is supposed to weigh 340lbs, thats what? 10 lbs over the te630? That doesn't seem bad, right?

They are not dirt bikes. They're 50/50 bikes. Entry level. Like I mentioned in the announcement thread, I think these bikes will appeal to new customers, which might get them buying dirt bikes later on.

They're definitely casual dirt use bikes. Decent power, though. Could be a decent entry bike for new riders. I wonder what the seat height is on them?

appeals to me too. Going to sell my FZ1 and get one. Will slow me down, let me explore gravel and EZ trails and also do everything my FZ1 would do but not capable of such ridiculous speeds like the FZ1. Will be a very good bike for leaving from my house and exploring the cascades. Already dreaming about a seat Concepts seat and long days on it.

Not entry level at all. lets face it a 630 is more dirt bike than most need. SO you could look at these as the bikes people get after they work out that a 630 is more dirt bike than they need. I did 5000km of mostly dirt in 8 days last year and if i'm going to be honest I would have had more fun on the new bike. It might not have blown the motor either :applause:
