• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Bill,

You are the man! I can't wait to ride the TXC310 and the new 150's both cr and wr. That TCi250 would be cool to compare and ride too.

I can't like this enough...

This is going to be fun. Will be there with Motosportz Mike and another KTM riding friend whom is very interested on the TXC310.

I was hoping to make the trek up there, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it. I have family visiting during that weekend (and the following week) and my Mom's 75th birthday is Nov. 1.

Holy Smokes...246 replies! You all will have nothing to talk about and have to spend every minute riding....Kelly will like it that way!

I spent all day agonizing whether I should do something, or not do something - I did it... lets see what happens...

Update:

Apparently the regional rep will be there, and he will be picking up Kris late on Thursday night. They will arrive mid-morning on Friday with a couple of bikes, in addition to what Bill is bringing. They will repeat that for Saturday as well, then Kris will fly out late Saturday (think that is what I was told).

At least that is what is planned at this time, and they sound reasonably sure - though in general "Life Happens" to all of us, and there are no sure things.

Kris Odwarka - President Husqvarna NA

I am still working on a few other things...

ohh...ignoring the east coast gathering.......well thats ok....they did for the previous 4 years also. I will just dye my hair red and have my parents dis-own me now. All that talk would probably cut into riding time anyway.
Have a great Gathering PNW!
Seriously, it doesn't get any better than a bunch of the colest folks on the best bikes on the planet!

Joe

FWIW, wish I could make it to the East side for your shindig, too! I've not yet seen Norm actually on a bike, yet:D

Norm and I rode together on Columbus day in honor of the wonderful Italian (dirtbikes).
We discovered some new trails and explored the woods of NY. That Dynoport "custom 150" pipe he had made sounds very throaty and barky up to about 8000 rpm then it sings crisply like a good buzz bomb.
