As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Might be Interested if Walt has room for a tag along.Coffee,
I hope you can put it together as a number of us from my neck of the woods are pretty excited for an end of October bend event.
I think 2510 would work
. There is another big site between 2510 and camp 2 I think.

Any chance for a location of where I, woodsChick, etc stayed last year? I've no idea what that campground name was...

In addition, your map is titled China Hat Area 25, but 2 blue pins show up neither of which say '25' on them, I'm not sure which one is 25.
Outstanding information.
I was curious if 25 was more of an open area without trees, or if it had some trees.
I'll let you handle the map however you see fit (obviously).
Now I know exactly where 25 is, I rode by it a couple of times last year trying to orient myself to the area...Map has been updated with additional labels and markers per Coffee's suggestions. This should give everyone a better idea of area 25 in relation to those used last year (2510 and II).
You may notice that China Hat road goes into the South end of Bend from the gathering spot and appears to be a shorter route, however it is rippled gravel for 30 miles so not recommended unless you are riding your dual sport bike. OTOH, the mapped route is paved.
+1
And call me a sissy, but I don't like the dusty washboard on the 2510 Road.
Aint that the truth...that road is good for about 3mph in my motorhome.
Sounds goodok.. changed the title a bit as requested. Let me know if you want it to be something else.
Did not want to put the actual days in the title.. though I did put the dates at the front of the post so that when people get their thread preview by putting their mouse over it, they will show up.
Alrighty.. finally some indication from Husqvarna NA..Before people start saying they won't, or will, go. Give me a bit of time, at least 10 days. Not sure what I can come up with, but anything is possible.
