• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Northwest Fall Gathering Round 2 - China Hat / Bend Oregon Oct 2011

I think I will make it this year. I should show up Friday morning and I have to leave Saturday night.
I have not read every page of this thread so maybe this has all been covered but anyway I was wondering about a few things.
Will I freeze in a tent? I was thinking about getting a hotel but I haven’t spent a night in the woods drinking beer by a fire for years so I think I want to stay in camp.
Should there be groups heading into town at night for dinner? I imagine there must be some good food not too far away. I just don’t want to bring everything to cook for one night.

Last year there were several people going back and forth to town in the evening so that is an option, and there will be plenty of cooking facilities at the campground, too.

I'm not wanting to turn this into a selling event at all but we have a small pile of XXXL (which fit like XXL) Rooster jackets left and will be bringing them and fire selling them. We just want them gone and as winter is coming and we have a gathering of our favorite people what better place to make a sweet deal. So if you need a extreme do it all coat and are a semi big guy stop buy the boxvan.

Dean, will there be anything organized? A raffle? We have some goodies to add to the prize pile if anything like this goes down.

Looking forward to this, should be good fun.

Just a note that any commercial activity (selling stuff) technically requires a permit .......

I missed this.. I am going to stop by atomic moto on the way there.. and was gong to pick up a klim jacket, how to get more info/pics about your jackets?

Actually I just got a courtesy call from Brian at Atomic moto... it seems to be a bit chilly there at the moment. Might want to bring warm clothes to sleep in at night (or at least I should).

It does appear to be warming up in the days ahead, this is my best guess for the weather at camp 25 LINK

This time of year you should be prepared for overnight lows in the teens in Central Oregon.

I just put together one of our new husky tents so we will have a bright red new husky tent next to the box van. I looks 20x better than the faded 5 year old one that I was going to bring almost like a neon light. Will have to be careful when the sun is out around kellys head. Sorry kelly couldn't resist, you can have a free roost for that comment. j/k

I am comfy while the temps are in the double digits... single and triple digits it starts to take the fun out of things.

Tonight the forecast low is 11 degrees.. but Thursday - Saturday the predicted lows are around 30-33 - much better :)

Too cold for me...
Just kidding, I thought to chime in. Looks like everything did not go as planned for me.

1. Munched a right side RAD. on the the 510. " Kelly thanks so much for getting my order out so Quick".

2. Tow Vehicle ( Big Ass turbo D) and 08 TE 510 " is going Trick or Treating with his 5yr old.

3. Prepping the TE/SMR 250IMGP0001.JPGIMGP0004.JPG for fun parking lot/urban jumps SM racing at the IMS in San Mateo 11/18-20

Anyone plan on riding Friday morning?
Friday will be a full day, this is more of a Friday/Saturday type event, as opposed to a Sat/Sun type event.

Kris & Jason (from Husqvarna NA) will be there mid morning Friday, and Saturday (possibly earlier).

Wish i could be there Thursday night for a full Friday but Motosportz Mike can't get down here til mid day Friday so we will see you guys Friday afternoon / evening some time.
