As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Did our yearly ride-out to the Buzludzha monument, together with a friend on a X-Ch TR650 nephew.
Did some further exploring of the "Stara Planina" (Old mountains) section of the Balkan range and the mountains closer to the Turkish border and the coast.
Found a nice camp site near Sliven that we'll definitely will be revisiting.
And finally found another alternative crossing of the Stara Planina mountains that was pretty interesting.

I hear ya, been looking at the Electro Motion E bike for trials. Bought a nice Z900rs Cafe that seems to be my go to bike. I'll keep the TR650 as I bought it new and is a great bike, especially for when folks come and visit.

That looks like some great touring. Thanks for posting this up. That Buzlduzha Monument looks like a space ship. Wonder if this has anything to do with visitor from another world? Is there a story behind it?

It is one of those megalomaniac soviet era buildings. It was built as the headquarters of the Bulgarian communist party. As it was only finished in 1981 it only saw limited use before the iron curtain came down.
After the overthrow of the communist rule it was totally neglected and started deteriorating very fast. Many Bulgarians would rather not be reminded of that part of their history, so the government never invested in maintaining it after 1989. The remains of the communist party kept calling them out on it until the government donated the building back to the CP. As they didn't have any money the building just kept deteriorating.
Only last year, with the help of foreign investors, has some restoration on the beautiful mosaics inside been started. Which imho is a good thing, as history (good and bad) should not be forgotten.
