I wanted a new small bike to replace my 07 KTM 200XC. I sold my 200XC last weekend. It has/is a great bike, but I wanted one of the newer small bore 4 strokes, and the Husky just called my name. My KTM 525 is great for DS but I wanted a new small bore 4 stroker for Enduro's and such.
Went and picked up my new 2010 TE310 today. The shop I got it from in Pa is awesome. Schultz Cycles in Morgan Pa. They do a 5 hour prep included when you buy from them, they re-pack all of the bearings and go over the bike totally. They asked me how I was gonna use the bike, dual sport or woods/enduro. I said woods/enduro, said they would remove all unnecessary "things" then! Save me 30 minutes! What is the purpose of that little plastic collar under the gas cap? Chucked in the box...........
I ordered the Husqvarna Race ECU for the bike and they had it in stock!, so as part of the prep they do, they removed all of the CO2 stuff, O2 sensor, changed out my stock ECU with the race one, tuned the bike and set the TPS, CO2 levels and such. Cat gone. I didn't want to mess around with power commanders and crap, so I read up and the Husky race ECU is spot on. Fires right up, nice idle and real clean and crisp right off idle and all the way up. Stock pipe looks and sounds nice. Very throaty.
Then they call me Thursday and ask me "aren't you using this as a woods bike?" I said yeah and they tell me the bike comes with Karoo's (crap) tires on it and offer to swap out for Pirelli M16's for just the labor which was 50 bucks. Awesome.............This bike will live off road and only see road work in Enduro's.
Notice the rear tag extension?
Blinkers and stuff come off all i one piece, NICE DESIGN! Well thought out......
4 x 8mm bolts later, presto.........
Close up the blinker and tag light connectors and push them in the little pocket behind the tail light
All buttoned up and clean looking.
Just pretty.....
See the grease, they re-do all of the bearings on the bike, that's nice.
It's slim and very lite feelings. I won't miss my 200 at all I think........And they added the "Mode" button (blue button on left) that switches between full power and slippery maps
