• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Bronzebronco- I bow to you. Great job. How was the frame? Looks as though the steerer tube would have been messed up.

What happened there?
Muddy, ericv-----had a bad wreck back in may. at night, took out a large dog running at me in the road. broken bones and broken husq. took a new(used) frame , forks fuel tank, radiators and front wheel. and the best part, i picked up a nearly new leo vince full titanium setup for dirt cheap! picked up a new white trailtech x2, a white front fender and a bunch of little new tidbits. used what i could off the heap of parts. engine, swingy, rear tire and most plastics usable. banged up, but usable. been very cold and snowy here still! but ive managed to put almost 100mi since the rebuild. so far so good! ----not sure bout the color layout yet. may need white rear fender to balance it out----- feels great to have her back****************************************!

New to me 2000 Husqvarna SM610S. Hall's Cycle in Springfield, IL just fully serviced (including new brake pads) and added Ricochet skid plate and 3.7 gallon tank they had sittin' around. Bike had a carb needing cleaning, new camchain and an right exhaust gasket (besides service). Riding it now makes me wonder how long I'll keep my license. 53 years old. Riding since I was 9 years old. Best braking and quickest accelerating bike (to 60 mph anyway) I've owned was a highly modded
2005 Yamaha FZ1 (leftover). This is not nearly as fast BUT MUCH MORE IMPRESSIVE stopping ability. I love this bike.

I did a three day ride with "GPSKevin" in Nevada last weekend. The 610 did very well in a flock of Orange. We started in Tonopah NV and rode to Austin the first night. Then to Eureka the second night, and back to Tonopah on the third day. About 600 miles total. Great people, weather and scenery.
