• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics Of Your 630!

Rdtcu-i think lonexb wrap job is sick and I've wanted to do the same thing on mine for a year or so now but I am afraid certain areas are too complex for vinyl wrap on the 630 such as the front fender. Anyways check this out. I'm sending my plastics off next week to get this done by this guy on SMj.

Only problem with that is that you can't touch it up when it gets scratched. And it WILL get scratched

And I've played with vinyl some in the past enough that I think I can get the front fender looking decent, it may cut off short under the headlight where it's not really visible.

So, I'm thinking about stripping the Plasti-dip and wrapping it.

Either a midnight digital camo, or a red camo to keep the husky colors, what do you think?

Something like what lonexb did:

I think the third one would probably be the best...would be cool with black rims!

How much does that cost?

Any durability issues with the plastidip?

No, no durability issues, just thinking about changing it up a bit.

Should be able to do everything I want on the bike for ~$50.

Ill tell you what, I have a hydroprinted shotgun Ive taken hunting 3 years, mobbing through the brush and woods, and theres not a scratch. This guy uses a polyurethane clearcoat over the bike parts, so although the clearcoat may get scuffed potentially you could buff it out or re-clear it. Vinyl is probably a little tougher but if you go down, either will be compromised. However I am excited to see how your vinyl turns out. Start a new thread to show off the process.

Just got my mods finished for the winter. Stock cans de cated :) Rear sub frame reinforced , roto pack installed :) New LynxII installed :)

Thanks to everyone on the forum for advice along the way.
Come on spring
