• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My Husky & my freind on his Husaberg 450.
A very wet muddy and slippery autumn ride.
My 630 did realy well :)

We just spent three days riding the Tellico Plains, TN area. Primitive camped off the bikes and did some easy single track fully loaded. Bike handles very well w/ weight low and forward. Getting things sorted for possible Forever West 2014...

Nice, you do the wrap yourself? Let us know how it holds up, I'm thinking of painting and graphics or a full wrap on mine now that the plasti-dip is starting to look a little rough after a couple years.

I've been trying to see on the above pics if the big H on your tanks have bubbled but can't quite see in enough detail.

Yes they are but you cant tell from thirty feet. Even the perf'ed one's on Jim's bike are. Mine are pretty ugly after a year but I will just replace them. They were $12 a set on ebay.

With the off gassing of the Safari tank, can you smell any odor of the gas? Such as parked in a closed garage for a while or is it such a small amount there is no noticeable odor. Just curious before I buy one in the spring.

This question cannot be answered as if you did smell anything it would be from the open tank vent not from vapors permeating the tank's walls.

It's too small to be noticeable.

.

That is what I thought buy wanted to check. Plus with all the other misc. cleaning solvent, greases and oils in the typical garage you probably would not notice anyways.

Thanks guys.

did you remove the graphics if so how ive ben wanting to plasti dip or do something like this im scared im gunna jack up the panels
I removed the number plate stickers, but left the red ones on the shrouds. My plan was to have the husky crown look embossed thru the carbon, came out ok. You can kinda see the husky emblem thru the vinyl in the right light. Stickers come off real easy and don't leave any residue, the bummer is you destroy them trying to remove them. As. For the panels, the vinyl will wrap them and protect them. Nothing permanent here man
