• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics Of Your 630!

did you remove the graphics if so how ive ben wanting to plasti dip or do something like this im scared im gunna jack up the panels

The factory decals just peel off, but sometimes it's hard to get them off without tearing them into little pieces... It helps to use a heat gun or hair dryer to warm them up a bit so they're more flexible before you start pulling.

I removed the number plate stickers, but left the red ones on the shrouds. My plan was to have the husky crown look embossed thru the carbon, came out ok. You can kinda see the husky emblem thru the vinyl in the right light. Stickers come off real easy and don't leave any residue, the bummer is you destroy them trying to remove them. As. For the panels, the vinyl will wrap them and protect them. Nothing permanent here man

yea I thought I saw them there

So it's time to freshen up the plastics for spring, should I re-Dip, paint or wrap? I'm thinking of large pattern midnight camo wrap, something like this:

Two pictures of the the same bike.
Just change the wheels (including stickier tyres, taller gearing, bigger disc.)

Throw on some saddlebags, and do a 4000Km round trip down to Phillip Island to watch the Superbikes.
This included being very silly in the Victorian Alps, and a Trackday on the Phillip Island Circuit.

This is the perfect dual-purpose.

I know people have been wondering for some time if this would work. Touratech's KTM 690 windscreen. I've only got it attached with one bolt either side. At least it can be adjusted with just the one bolt. It kind of fits. Haven't test risen it yet but will report back when I do.

like that shield.. do you have any photos of the full bike to show? where might one find that shield at a reasonable price?

Correct. Overpriced touratech item. I tried a different one before this but it didn't work out. I had my eye on this one for a while and decided to give it a go. I'll try and get a full photo at some point.
