• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pictures of your bikes

I agree. Call me old fashioned, but I like the carb'd model. All that had to be done, was a rejet and removal of sundry EPA foo-foo and the bike was ready to be a snappy personality.

One down, one to go.....

Are there enough 610s in here? :D

Sorry if you've been assaulted by these pics before. They're gettin' worn out, but they're the best ones I have. Time to get some fresh ones!

Couple of friend's bikes, and mine on the right. I've since added some nice brush scratches and some road rash. Still working on fabbing some crash bungs and sourcing a CF skidplate.

Great looking 610's Zero.

I too am trying my hardest to find a CF Skid or glide plate for a 610.

I have asked Edo from Dedo Racing about making them and he has told me there was some interest in making them. Wouldn't surprise me if he comes out with one as he seems to be the leading supplier for CF goodies for the 610's.

They would be really easy to make if the frame rails were the same curvature.

Failing that I might get a local guy to make one ....or two or a dozen. If I do I will have to let you know............... or if I hear any word from Edo about him making one I'll send you a message.

Sounds like the perfect topic for a thread, I'd like to say something but then this thread would get a bit off topic.

Thanks y'all! Hi Woodsy! I see we're in good hands here.

Those TXCs are HAWT. It'd be my next dirt squirt, but I must have a plate, so TE it is. Man, it's tough on these streets. :D

Lou, I'm thinking a generic skid meant for another bike is the ticket- I mock mounted the CF plate from my 450X, but it looked too clunky. I'll keep you posted on any progress I make in that direction.

Sorry for the highjack, Coffee. Back to the pics! This one is kind of abstract and out of focus, but I like it anyways. :excuseme:

Woo Hoo! It's nice to share the stoke with people who understand the elation a nice Hoosky can bring.

Niice!! especially the crossed wheelie****************************************!!! the rear tire schmoke is cool too!!

All these awesome pics make me want to run out and buy another Husky. I need a SM for the occassional street holiganism and a WR 300 for those times when a lightwieght heavy hitter are more appropriate than the big TE and a 125 would just be the best play bike around. Then I look at Husky T's restoration and I want to do the same for several of the classics.
Is there no end to this addiction?

If you mean my comment to Lurkerlou regarding the CF stuff, I had some links.... and those links would significant discussion... I should probably start up a thread when there is time.

Don't worry about some causal comments, it's all good.

Greetings all, this is my Husqvarna, a TE510 Centennial, number 30/100. Anyone else on here got one? There are another 99 somewhere on the planet. It would be interesting to hear roughly where the others are. Shamefully mine has never been ridden or even started in the three plus years I have had it. It lives in the lounge!
