  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

BLASPHEMER! :D

The price for what it is, what is has and the box off goodies that comes with it was irresistible. The owner is a friend i ride with. I feel like i have stolen from a friend :D

- OK back to huskys please.

Speaking of which, on the GG250 ride last night Jake brought his 2010 TC250 MX bike. WOW, that bike is fun off road. I felt like i was ripping on it. Even crashed it once. No handguards and a branch operated the front brake for me. To me the TC250 feels 30 pounds lighter than the GG and is way more stable. I prefer how the TC turns as well. I guess i am just a husky head. I like the GG but the husky was awesome.

Ah, the '03 EC250. I sold my '03 EC250 18mo. ago. Great bike. Try a CCK needle if you want a real torque monster.

I now have an '05 DE300 and the difference is pretty drastic. First, the made some big frame/geometry changes in '05 and it feels much smaller, lighter and shorter than the '03. Second, my 300 is so much more mellow than the 250. My brother still has his '03 EC250 and is rips, but I like my 300 much better.

Tisk tisk. Told you so. We're waiting on the 2012 TC. It'll probably be Cody's 2012 race bike if they show up before next summer. I loved our 2010 TC in the woods!

Dude, ride one. You'll forget how it looks. Best woods bike on the planet. The newer ones are better looking and better all-around.

I know that the newer ones are looking better than that, but wtf is that, it looks like a Honda.

That is one ugly bike. Why did you buy that THING.

Cheap, works great in the woods i ride. I have a lot of people who come in from out of town and I have a few loaner bikes. This will work for that. I don't think it is ugly but not real sexy ether. Could care less, it is a dirt bike.

I must aggre with you on that one, because i dont care how my own bike looks like. It is a old banger from 04. But how old is that gasgas anyway.

My '98 with newer plastics. Its a little rough but its only cosmetics. The engine has had a full rebuild and the suspension is next to get looked at. Any advice? Should I just rebuild or replace with newer kit? Cant wait to get out and use it on the weekend.
