As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
I love those graphics! Where'd you get them?My 08 wr250
Are you from the area? My Dad is from Centralia and I ride the "coal region' all the time. What's even more creepy is the reality that the coal in the pictures started to accumulate in the late 1800's, and stopped accumulating (to the levels you see) in the mid 1950's! The "coal" in the pictures is actually refuse coal that was discarded in the old days because it wasn't the highest quality. Back in those days, they simply threw away "inferior" coal and allowed it to stack up on piles like those in the pics. Some of that coal has been lying around for over 100 years. I rode on those coal banks 35 years ago! They haven't changed except for some erosion and the ruts cut into them by 40+ years of riding. The mines in that area shut down in the mid 50's.
Is that near Tremont?I'm from Williamstown, PA.
New Graphics for my Wr300 (Just got numbers issued - matching graphics, coming.) Ready to start the 2013 AXC series!
That white frame makes the bike look thinner and slimmer ... You guy ever race in LA (Lower AR)?

What pipe is on there?
Thanks! This is the before pic. First, tighten up the mechanicals, paint frame, then I'd LOVE to find some period correct graphics.
^^^^^^^
Thanks for the pics. Now I know what to aim for
I had a similar vintage 250...
