  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

Pffft! You can't fool us by sticking that fake Yamaha sticker on the tank. That's KTM's latest 536.5 dual sport due for release in may 2010. It's all over the internet, just google it!

:notworthy: My WR300´10!

Still waiting for roost and engine guards.

That is sweet!
I'm not a big fan of the look of my 09' and would love to change up the color scheme.

Those RidePG graphics are sweet too.
Do any graphics companies make non-custom Husky kits?

I believe Decalworks has 2-3 kits. The FBF kit was my favorite.

Thanks man. I love the looks of Huskies and Yamahas so I kinda combined the colors. Black plastics with blue/white graphics. I think it's pretty sharp.

I have a white and black trailtech light that I put on for enduros. It kinda looks like it fits.

Bought 2008 cr125 new in crate this past summer while on holiday in BC. Never seen one before but deal was to good to pass up. Bike has been better than I hoped. Perfect for 40 year old 185 pound open c class rider and to ride with kids at track. Very stable bike with nice tracable powerband. Have had 3 races on it with good mid pack results. Rear Ohlins shock is great but front Marzocchi forks are ok but seem to go through stroke to fast is there somewhere to send them to improve a little. Overall as long as bike is realiable I will keep for long time. Now if I could just keep my 15 year old off it or I might need to buy him 09 or 10.

I managed to hobble out with my WR 125 today and take a few pics. There are a couple of close ups of the case spacer for the auto clutch and the left hand rear brake/2 finger clutch. All I need now is to mount up my Motoz tires and bolt on my plate and away I go.

Of course it will also have an auxiliary tank on it soon too.

that's not a 1 2 5 :D

Did you notice any performance difference in the updated pipe or just that it misses the resi? I have that Doma working so I'm hesitant to mount up the replacement.

get healed up.

Kelly,

I tried it before I tore it down for all the mods and it made a decent increase in mid-range over the stock pipe that Husky replaced. It was equivalent everywhere else. The FMF Fatty I have made the bottom a little more meaty and matched the new pipe's mid-range and if anything revved out further. I just like the looks of the new Husky pipe better and with the 144 kit the bike rrrriiiipppps everywhere. I have yet to try the FMF with the 144 yet but I can't ride it anyway so it can wait.

Yes, it is a 1 4 4 not a 125 :D

Thanks for looking,
Walt

I am writing this sporting ice packs on my right arm and both knees. I blew my right knee ACL out 22 years ago in Sun Valley. It is my bad knee and having to hop around on it for a couple of weeks has put it on tilt. I am currently down 15 lbs since August and have another 20 to go to get to riding shape and take some pressure off those damn knees.

Its a smoker

1983 WR175 converted to an XC for vmx. Work in progress want to put some Ohlins out back and paint frame with new plastic.
