    TE = 4st Enduro & TC = 4st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My TE 510 09.
Just had her on the dyno and have a max power of 49.21hp and max torque of 37.43ft-lbs.
I'll try and get some better photos.

She has a stock engine and exhaust.
Samco hoses.
SRC 1.6Bar rad cap.
Braced and strenthened rads (CH Racing side mods).
WER Steering Damper.
Tireballs.
Super B battery.
TMDesignworks chain guide.
Marzocchi twin chamber factory lite (nitride coated) forks and Standard Sachs rear shock, all with WER valving and heavier spring rates.
Metzeler Six Day Extreme enduro tyres.
My own extra decals, rear fender side and headlight, lower rads.
I have the upgrade water pump to fit as soon as I get chance.

Nice!

How did the pipe change the power?
I only can compare to the stock TC Exhaust. I think the Akrapovic ist a little stronger all over the range, but especially stronger at top end. It also rev's a lot better an is quite (94dB, the stock exhaust ist very noisy).

Regards Stefan

TXC is back together (got to go hunting for intake cam bearings - there's only 7 of them, right?) and finally got around to putting it back together. Had it down to the frame and I really should have Rhino-lined it then - oh, well - next time.

That's Reno/Sparks below me - sorry 'bout the lo-res pic.

So what is the deal with UR cam bearings?

2000 Husky TE410/E

She is old but she is reliable. Here she is with all her glory. Terlingua, Texas and riding about 1200 miles. She is full blown stock except the gas tank. Going to redo the suspesion and handlebars this summer.
