  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

This is us at a recent trip down to moab. I love my bike! Much has been done since the photo.

Always nice to see a girl on a dirt bike, most especially a Husky! Good choice. HairlessKitty loves here TE 250, soon to be a 300/310 thanks to Motosportz.

My 08 TE250

I know the bike is dirty and I'm in the process of giving her a good cleaning.:busted: This is my new graphics from Decal Works and they fit perfect. I wanted colored backgrounds but SETRA says I need white. Sorry about the messy garage.

UR bike looks all gnarly here ... Like, don't get too close or you might get bitten!

My EX 02 CR250 looks like a close relative to your bike with the mudd added :)

GPNF @ Cat Creek ... 1/4 mile east of old chimney, across road from start of trail 118 :)

Its a Kenda k270 dual sport ... Works OK on hi-way and trial ... Mine is 5.10x18 and does not turn too well on a MX track but does well in woods single track in the roots and rocks ... A 4.10 might turn and slide better for you ... I might try this size next ... It might be a 4 ply :(

Its also a 6-ply, DOT approved, and will run on a flat :) I gotta have this in a tire ... And made from a very hard compound

It has about 1000 miles on it now and still has some juice left ...

New TE450 Husky 2009

Well, here's the new ride! Zero mileage on this bike for the first picture, after that, I dug some trenches with it and now it's broken in. Love the bike, wonderful power band, simple construction and perfect for my type of riding. I bought several different sprockets to re-gear it and I'll pick up a new rear tire for a bit of road work and that's it. Last time I owned a Husky it was 35 years ago. Used to dump it in the back of my Dad's Lincoln and take the 400 cc to the track! After 5 Honda XR650L's, it was time to buy something top of the line:

(Oh yeah, I bought a carrier for it too. Don't even know it is on the back there.)

Congrats on the cool bike and I like those straps across the top of your carrier!

Remember, every thing you need to know about that bike is probably already written here somewhere

What year 400 did you have?

Hello Ray_ray!

Those were my first pics of the strapping down of the bike, so it is a little different on the final product. The bike doesn't move at all and if you counterbalance it with a tall, 120 lb italian gal in the passenger seat, there is no need to ever come home! It rides so smoothly, the idea is to take the bike all over the country, riding along the way.

My first husky was a 1972 model, I bought it used and it was so reliable, I had years of enjoyment with it. I traded it and $ 500 for a 67 Jaguar XKE convertible, guess which one went up in value?
