  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

I got a Clarke tank locally from a guy who didn' want it for his bike, much slimmer than the IMS. I also made a 'bump' seat out of my old seat since I bought another one, really like it for hill climbing, easy to stay up front. It's a TC450 with electric start and I have a Rekluse.

My goodness thats a big tank!

Hey Mr. Matto - what tank is that? Looks good. Fit well?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! It is the IMS 3 gallon tank. I don't have the shrouds on (extra weight I figure plus I probably would have ripped them off by now. ha ha) It fits well. I had to mod it just a tiny bit to fit my Scott's damper, but no big deal. Just got some Maxxis Desert IT tyres to fit. Should be better then the trials tire in the deep, loose stuff.

Cheers-

I have never seen an older Husky with dual exhaust. Cool!

94 WXC 610...a little too quiet for me. I like a little more thunder down under! Depending on what I do, if I decide to clean her up I may have George at Uptite fix me up with a custom 2 into 1...we'll see. I'm likng the idea of a new(er) 510 TXC though...

Sunday January 16 @ Cahuilla Creek MX in Anza, California... about 83 degrees... perfect sandy loam track...perfect bike...perfect LTR dialed MX suspension...

nice. Colour scheme is done nicely throuhout whole bike, i think it'll be fantastic if you can have white rims?
What's the brand of fork guard? Looks like those on ktms'.

It's been a year. The bike shows it in some ways. Done a lot to it in useful upgrades, not a lot of bling. It's now got about 65 hrs on the engine and 700 miles. A lot more hours than I would have thought as little as I've been able to ride it the past year. Has that semi-permanent grime on the hard to reach parts!

Since initial pics last year:

HDB handguards
Vapor computer
Symatec grip heaters
Motosportz damper

and also i want to put the clunch cover and some other parts in carbon... The fork guards brand is CEMOTO. You can see all the plastic kits that they have for all Huskys in http://www.cemoto.it/prodotti.php?act=1&id=11

Really i changed for stetic cause i still have the original red ones news..but i prefer the grey-white-carbon combination..

^ Dirty trick Kelly. I saw you were the newest poster in this thread and thought for sure it was an actual pick of the new bike. Who am I kidding? There will be a new thread for your actual TE 511.
