  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

Stefan is that an 09 TXC? If so where did you get the kickstand for it? I have been looking and thinking about making one for my 09 TXC 510. Thanks, John. Wait I see it has tags, turn signals, etc. is it a TE is it not?

It is a TXC. Stefan is racing for the german HVA importer. I guess they fitted the kickstand of the TE on the TXC. Doing enduro races in germany means you need a street legal bike with turn signals, number plate, lights etc. So the german HVA racing team customizes the TXCs to be ready for the enduro races.

Cool thanks for answering Bernie. fitness2go I didn't see one in the classified section but I will look into the one from Motosportz, thanks.

here's my 07 TE 450 and my mates 04 TE 510. dirty, of course!

Really nice bike. Love the carbon fibre parts. Are they all from Carbon performance ? Also love the mvd husqvarna racing wear. Jörg Hainbach is riding in it, too. Did you order it directly from MVD motorsports ?

I had no pics of the bike when stock(09) but had to get these pics done before the newness wears off-the other pics are not so good at showing the bike. I followed the Scott Summers mods for the bike with the exception of the large tank and tire balls.I have a Scotts damper that will fit an IMS. I also added a Trail Tech computer. I put on the carb line hose kit from Uptite that runs into the air box, bash plate already banged up doing its job well. I also siliconed a large washer over the site glass still using the retaining "clip" with a small washer there, the diameter in the center is perfect for viewing the oil level.

Most of them are from Carbon Performance. Other Husky CF parts are from Dedo Racing and the generic ones from Lightspeed.

Yes ordered the MVD supermoto suit from MVD himself. Jersey (XL) was toooooooo big tho.
