  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

Fantastic pictures, especially considering how cloudy it was in the video

I believe one of them made it to the splash page (cafehusky.com)

I tried putting the enlarged pics in the post rather than the thumbnail. Was that a no-no?

How could that be a no no?

It's all good, the links did not work for whatever reason... Here they are inline:

As far as gearing, you might be happier with a 1 tooth larger front sprocket, or a 48T rear. The headlight looks great!

Sweet as, I call it my magic carpet ride

Awesome pics EnduroTourenMadeira! About 2 years ago I almost decided to pick up and move to Sao Miguel. I'm glad if I ever decide to move there's some good riding on the islands, well at least on Madeira. Have you ridden any of the other islands?

You have an unfair advantage over the other riders. You're supposed to ride over the rocks, roots and ruts but you seem to have developed the ability to simply levitate over them.:D

So, I just took some pics of my '04 TE 450 to post here and was about to upload them when the camera's batteries went flat. So I plugged in the camera's PSU. Only it wasn't the camera's PSU...

Heh, so I just let The Magic Smoke out of my camera. Why do all wallwart power supplies look the same?

I guess I'll have to post a pic taken when I bought it...

It's a lot tidier now, but still the scruffiest bike in this thread! :)

Will post a couple up-to-date ones when I extract 'em from the camera's XD card (if I haven't fried that too!)
