• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thanks Checko! Freakin 83 tanks are priced like they are made of gold. I will be racing this one along with the KTM as long as I can manage a open class bike.

I'm new to this web site so I thought I'd share some Husky stuff from here in the UK.

The old man was a Husky mechanic for Brian Leask UK husky importer and he won a lot of British MX championships. I'm doing a re-build of my '82 430 which I will post up pictures of later...

I love the looks of number 9. This coming year, I need to bring my air-cooled twin shocker knowledge way up. Really love the looks of the black one, alot.

All appear to be nice bikes though. Great garage to just hang out in!

Very nice. I wanted a 175WR in 1974 but ended up with a stripped down 1969 360 with an aluminum peanut tank and the full front hub. It was sold to me as a 250 for $250 as it needed 2nd gear replaced. When I went to the dealer he asked for the engine number he told me it was a 360. It was fun but I could not ride junior enduros with it as there was a 250cc limit on the junior series. Actually I think there still is

Can't blame the guy Honda copied the Husqvarna GP down to right drive and left clutch and kick.

Very nice 83 front guard !

Michel, my wife says you are un homme qui a besoin d'une vie. Clearly she doesn't understand the beauty that is an original Husky front mudguard! Thank you very much for selling it to me. It sets off the bike nicely, along with a recently scored OEM headlight from Tradera. She thinks I'm mad, but fortunately loves me despite my Husky illness.

Kind regards
Lucien.
