• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your vintage Husqvarna bikes!

Thanks! Yeah me too i watch them all over again in the winter months.
I have some super fine places to ride here in Alberta. Should be a great year, got a new Lectron carb on the bike and a new clutch kit coming. The bike and i will be flying through woods this season.

I have a lectron on my 86 auto and I love it! I never ride the bike with the stock carb on it though so I can't make a comparison between the two but the lectron will be staying in the auto that's for sure

1979 OR 250. dropped off by a client for final inspection and junk, just redid his TXC 310 here at the shop. found a few issues. i think the shocks are on upside down, i found a rag between the stinger and muffler....ya know, "little" stuff. hasn't been started since it was restored somewhere else. i'm going to go through it first.... it was his fathers bike. been in baskets forever.

great pics! i knew you would like the carb!

I did make it a touch leaner for the third ride, my plug was black.
The idle screw was only a 1/2 turn out to get a warm low idle. Moved the needle a 1/2 turn out and main fuel in a 1/4 turn. Idle screw now sits at 1 1/2 out now like it should be on the tunning guide. New plug in it and went out to the mountains yesterday. Had a good long ride in the mud and snow and all.

Went way back

Fresh restore finished tonight. 1977 CR390. Started on the first full kick but the clutch slips so back in I go. Previous owner looped it and mangled the rear loop, so I cut it off, bent it up, and matched an 1980 seat to it. The Ohlins were a tight fit but hopefully they'll be worth it. Never had a pair before.2008-01-01 13.28.17.jpg
