So I've developed an irrational desire for this bike!
I'm hoping this would be an excellent bike for racing cross country, enduros, and doing an occasional dual sport or trail ride ... mostly in Oregon (wet side).
I'm an "A" enduro racer with most time on KTMs (300, 200, 525), also a WR450F and YZ250F.
I'm thinking of this as the YZ250F with an extra gear, electric start, more plush suspension, a bit more power, and a license plate!
So hoping it would be overall a better offroad bike.
Some questions so far:
Gas Tank - still seems small. Looks like about 2.2 gallons, and aftermarket gets you to 2.9? And you don't run the beautiful red tank shrowds anymore?
Since the 2011 isn't listed yet, what 2010 tank should work? The 2010 TXC-250?
Is this like a 200 hour top end bike? Or might it need attention before that?
I assume the silencer is a spark arrestor and a "keeper"? Or is it a heavy cat silencer that gets super hot and stifles performance? (Had a SM-610, know that deal
)
Any guesses on the suspension? I'm 160 lbs so I don't usually need to change springs. Would this be comprable to a KTM 300 XCW suspension?
Any other guesses at what might be needed to make it race ready? (not the generic stuff like hand gaurds or skid plate, but Husqvarna 310 specific?)
