• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Rekluse Auto Clutch

Hi
Update: project is moving along and nearly finished. Logan asked to find a bike local to SW Idaho for a final fitment and test by him, so he can sign off on it before putting it to market. He needs a loaner bike. If you are willing to part with your bike for a short while, PM me your email and/or Ph# and I will forward it to him to contact you.

Guys, received email from Logan at Recluse, he needs a TR or Strada for test purposes, anyone be happy to lend him your bike for a few days?
I'm in Australia, rather expensive to fly mine across
Can anyone help?

Also a Sertao or G650gs would work. I posted up at ADV in two bmw topic and the stupid questions. No takers so far.

We don't have anyone in that area willing to guinea pig this?

My timing would suck, but I'll be in Utah in June. That is about a 5hr shot to Boise. If no one steps up by then, I'll leave the bike there then fly back and get it when he's done with it.

Maybe, maybe not. Doesn't seem to be many BMW or Terra owners in that neck of the woods.

As easy as these are to install, I think you would be able to just wait on it. Don't know what type of discount or swag you would get, but that is up to you. I would say at minimum a free install if you buy it.

Oh, I assure you I'd much rather wait on it to become available. But that might be a long wait if they can't find a test mule.

Awesome

Greetings all. I'm a new Terra 650 owner from SLC, Utah. I have made arrangements with Rekluse to bring them my bike to use for test fitting at the end of May. I would have posted sooner but I've been waiting for my forum membership to be approved.

Matt

Dear Matt - Well come & thank you for Rekluse

Thanks Matt, and welcome. I had just emailed Logan, and then today your post shows up, LOL. Got a reply from Logan this morning.

I live in the Seattle area and could make the trip if need be. It would have to be soon. Going to do a couple of BDRS and this would solve the gearing challenge by not slipping clutch. I was going to go down a tooth on the countershaft but might not need to. Not too sure about compression braking on those steep downhills on the COBDR. Will a Recluse be a problem for that?

I think Matt is ready to take his bike in the bike for fitment. Thanks for the offer.

And yes, the Rekluse is amazing on the trail. I recently picked up a Strada after having my Terra for a couple years. The Strada doesn't have the Rekluse or the latest software update and is a bit to handle off road. I took the Terra out this past weekend and had a blast on it. Day and Night difference.
