Brought a Husky last week, noticed an oil leak on right hand side where oil line is attached via the bolt. Turns out the thread was knackered (someone had over tightened it).. Tried a few things to fix it, oil still pissing over my right boot.
So I figured I would tap it and put a new thread in.. (ive done it before on a triumph daytona) Tapped it no probs, whilst putting the new thread in I managed to break the engine casing trying to squeeze the tool that puts the thread in against the engine casing.
So now the bolt hole is screwed completely and the engine casing needs replacing..
My question is how do I know what engine casings are compatible with my bike ? It's a 2000 SM610, im kinda hoping im not limited to finding the exact same bike.
