Spiderman, I think you are doing something that is messing up the system, for example using the throttle while starting? That would cause the problem described. It writes an error in the system and the engine is not going smoothly anymore. Maybe you can reset it yourself as I described. Worked excellent on my bike.
We can hold on, updates are supplied as disc and not online, right?
I am very satisfied with the result of the new mapping, except the unstable idle speed. It works fine since 1.500 kph.
I don't normally use any throttle during starts until it starts running really bad. I get to the point where it won't start after hitting the starter button 5 or 6 times and then I really have to throttle up a bit but that's only as a last resort. And this situation only occurs a couple thousand miles after a remoss. Also, this last time I tried the startup relearn procedure as you described and it didn't help. That's when I took it back to the dealer.
I don't discount that I'm doing something to cause the change but I honestly don't know what it could be. I've tried not using my LED running lights and heated gear. The Wuka is the only thing I've added to the mix. Still have the canister and both exhausts. Haven't done the pod mod yet and don't have a cooling problem. At 10k miles I've not checked the valve clearance which could cause a hard starting situation, but since it works just fine after a moss I doubt if that's an issue. If this last moss update doesn't take care of the problem I'll be going with the PCV but i hate to spend that much $ to get the bike running the way it should out of the crate. The dealer has been great to work with and is frustrated with all this as I am.
