• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Super turbo Motard 2010 SMR 510

Where id the valve come from on the oil vent? (right side case cover where in kickstart hole).

Got it running! :applause:

? yea the dump for the turbo is on the right side where the kick start block off plate was haha is that what your asking? :)

dude you're a nut! Can't wait for more. Set that video camera down mid way down the street on record and rip right on by so we can see and hear that thing goin by!

me and my buddies are itching to go out and shoot some film, we have a idea about me and my roommate with a ktm doing a cops and robber theme haha

Hey a have a few questions.

So for compression, you just got another base gasket?
Also it's running without an intercooler, correct?
Did you use the power commander to retard the timing?

I really would like to turbo my SMS630 and I find this thread very useful. Awesome project, I am glad you did it!

ok here it is, dont use the thicker head gaskets due to the huge piston diameter, just find a thicker head gasker, i went .20mm over which put me at a good place for compression. second you dont need to run a intercooler because the intake temps do not rise enough for it to make it worth it. if you can buy the power commander 5 with the timing module do it otherwise just run your map a bit fat to cool. if you want give me a call and we can talk i have never done a single before and have about a month of fine tuning and re fabbing parts to make this thing work amazing but last part is going on this week and she will be fully done and perfect in every aspect. my name is Brian phone: 651-387-3032 call anytime would be glad to set you on the right path and you should be able to get it all done for about 1500 dollars which once you feel the power will giggle like a little school girl everytime you ride it haha im 8 down from stock and wheelie threw 4th gear hahahahahaha sooo fun

Wow, thanks so much! I wont be able to call anytime soon as I am always busy and I'm in CA so the time difference throws off everything but I really appreciate it and hope to talk to you soon!

As for the base gasket, how think is the stock gasket? Or in other words, which gasket should I get so that it is +.20mm thicker?
I have a JD Tuner. Since you said richening it up will compensate for the timing, could I just use the tuner to make it really rich or should I get the power commander to do it properly?
I have never done a turbo but I do have a 95 Camaro which is supercharged so I am very familiar with boosted engines.

Thanks so much again!!
(P.S) When you said 8 down, are you talking about sprocket teeth?
