• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Not sure why these guys always drag this stuff out ... Its not like they are PRO football players or any other PRO sport where the betting odds are based somewhat on injuries ... Or the case where if a PRO athlete sits down and lets his backup on the field, the backup guy can win the starter job ... Maybe this is ticket sales game they all play?

Does LV give odds on these races?

Hope he's not out that 6 weeks time frame ... But that's the healing time for human bones?

I've never bought the BS about RD5 just needs to be more < ...> and he'll win ... I saw him in more than 1 interview after a race say 'I was going as fast as I could out there'... Maybe at a specific point in a specific he might could do more, same as everyone else, but it ain't easy passing RV2, JS7, CR22 and whatever young-guy has his nose out front during a race ...It's also been apparent to me that the 450 ktm has not been the best bike on the track in the past few yrs of racing also. It looks lots better this yr, but RV2, JS7, <CR22> have been on the track also.

Was it one yr or 2 yrs ago, the MX title was still on the line and RD5 ended up with the bike on top of him trying to catch RV2 \ JS7? Who wants to race all these x-Champions, for a single race or career? Go to your local race and step-up and win against your greatest nemesis for the championship, and then, go tell RD5 how to race.

To save points and have a chance, thats what it is all about. You place well you get sponsors and money to keep going. Same reason anyone with a great job works hard to keep it. He also runs and is his own team so there is no fall back plan. He is doing everything he can to make it work. I appreciate his effort.

Did he race? I thought I read he was not racing ... I'm glad he is still in there with the champs+young riders and hope he does not crash again and compound his injuries ...
