• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

TE 630 MY2011 – Clutch basket: installation procedure and location of the 12 cup-shaped washers

Husqvarna
Hello everyone,

I own a 2011 Husqvarna TE 630, 21.000 km, and I need some advice regarding the clutch basket assembly.

My mechanic has never carried out this particular operation and is not familiar with the arrangement of the cup-shaped washers, flat washers and Belleville washers fitted to the clutch assembly.

I would therefore be very grateful if someone who has actually performed this job, or has reliable technical documentation, could describe the procedure step by step.

In particular, I would like to understand:

What is the exact assembly sequence of the cup-shaped washers, flat washers and Belleville washers?

Where exactly is each component installed?

In which direction must the Belleville washers be fitted?

Are any of these components fitted inside the clutch basket, behind it, or in another location?

Is there a specific procedure or tool required to disassemble and reassemble this arrangement?

There is one point I particularly cannot understand.

In the 2011 TE 630 clutch exploded diagram available here:

https://shop.italhusky.com/en/products/2011/sm-te-630/primary-drive-clutch-85

only one cup-shaped washer appears to be illustrated.

However, the parts information seems to indicate that 12 cup-shaped washers (part no. 800054463) are required.

Are we absolutely certain that all 12 are required?

If so, where exactly are the other 11 washers installed? Why are they not individually shown in the clutch exploded diagram?

I would particularly appreciate:

clear photographs of the clutch basket with the components in their actual positions;

photographs showing the assembly sequence;

a drawing or technical explanation identifying the location and orientation of all 12 cup-shaped washers, the flat washers and the Belleville washers.

I am trying to establish the correct original factory assembly, not an alternative or modified arrangement.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

If you are talking about #53 washer, it looks like they go on either end of the spring assemblies on the base plate.:excuseme:
