I use a spring puller, basically a T handle with a long hook at the end.Any tips for pulling the insert out of the pipe? Mine does not want to move and there is not much to grab
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

Jokes on you, I normally lose everyone before I get out of the parking lotRemind me to kick your ass if we ever meet. In fact get your ass out here, I have some really EZ trails to leave you on.![]()
He's an old man, probably never revs his bike over 6k. Should be easy to outrun.Jokes on you, I normally lose everyone before I get out of the parking lot. Better off just kicking my ass lol
Actually I meant to say everyone loses me before we leave the parking lot lol. I don't mean to brag but I'm 6th in points in our C250 class (no one really does all 8 roundsHe's an old man, probably never revs his bike over 6k. Should be easy to outrun.![]()
Yeah it has the little hole. I need like a slide hammer that hooks in there or something. just straight 'pulling' isn't moving anything, but I'll get it out one way or another.I use a spring puller, basically a T handle with a long hook at the end.
but I don't care at all. In most of the singletrack stuff I use 10% of the available power and the dirt road stuff can only go full throttle for a few seconds.
Question - the megabomb header - is the size different where the muffler pipe fits onto it? I'm wondering if I can fit that header to my current pipe that is for a TE
I'd be happy to sell you my stock 511 can. It is literally brand new condition. Pay for shipping and you can have it.Do you know if the stock TE silencer insert can be purchased, I can't find a part number for just it.
That's it. I give up trying to clean my bikes. They never turn out like Kelly's.
