Any notices about how many Terras and Stradas have been sale in the world SO FAR?.
As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
The 650s were not available for very long in 2012, yet the sales were approaching the 449/511 sales numbers for the year. My guess is without the buyout, and hurricane Sandy interrupting incoming shipments into the USA, sales for a full year would have been huge (compared to the other Husqvarna bikes):Not many.
1,321 of the models TR 650 Terra and TR 650 Strada.

Husqvarna Motorcycles 15.7 % above previous year.
Husqvarna Motorcycles supplied a total of 10,751 vehicles (prev. yr.: 9,286 units / + 15.7 %) to the Husqvarna dealer network from January up to and including December. Supplies in the month of December itself totalled 1,267 vehicles (previous year: 1,330 units / - 4.7 %).
The most popular models in the single-cylinder sports segment (enduro, supermoto, motocross) were the 250/310 cc (2,758 units) and the 449/511 cc (1,627 units).
In the segment of motorcycles designed for on-road use, 1,936 of the models Nuda 900 and Nuda 900R were supplied as of December, as well as 1,321 of the models TR 650 Terra and TR 650 Strada.
Hard to quantify the numbers. Of those numbers, much would have carried over into 2013, as they did not all sell to a customer that year, that was to the dealers, if I read it correct.
Either way, not many. Probably less than 5000 total.
Most correct thing about this buyout I've read yet.... Likely it'll be 2015 before the real 'New Husky' will start to take shape....
