• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TM Racing

Actually that 144 doesn't need to be big bored or stroked, they run awesome as is.
The 2013 model has a electric powervalve and runs a lot better then the 2012 with mechanical powervalve.
When the 125 with electric powervalve came out, it almost beat the 144 so sales were low.

Don't compare it to the Honda RC valve, (or whatever they call them), TM makes it work!
I am sure it does run great. It just isn't going to have the torque on the bottom/mid that it would as a 165/175. That is just a fact. It might make more ultimate power but it won't make it where a fat, old, slow guy wants it. Don't get me wrong I have been drooling over TM's for years and am pretty close to buying an EN144 but I need to be able to get more torque out of it or I will just keep my current 165 as my go to bike.

Man. That sucker sounds SWEET********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************!!!

You can call Jubal in Hailey :)

Haha, I called him and sent him a text message yesterday. No response.

I bought my TC250 from him a couple years ago and spent some time with him at the Idaho city ISDE that last couple years. He is a funny guy.

Later,

anybody thought about a Fantic there's an importer in Canada they look badass and they have a 125 i bet Walt or Eric Gorr can make it a 150+

nope the 125 is done inhouse yes the 250/300 is a GG the strokers are yamaha fantic been around they can getter done when they want to

Has anyone used the TM's for cowtrailing, my info is that they are too hot blooded. With the new Husky's owner mistreatment of the workin man i'm on the hunt for a new brand. I've ridden the early 2000's 125 TM and they are unreal fast, all business. Aluminum frame could be a different feel, anyway for those of you who are in the know give us the scoop. Nothing costs too much if ya want it.:)

It will be interesting to see the results. I have a contact who has owned a couple of them, his opinion is that they are very well thought out and the handling is Euro and accurate. Very solid feedback but meant to be ridin quickly and he says very quickly for the 250 anyway to work right. A wicked combo. We will see what the Chillster has to say.

Very pleasant...

This is like porn.

I am still unsure how far or if they can be bored larger. If anyone knows, does the TM use an exhaust bridge? If it doesn't then it becomes very problematic to bore larger.

I'm SURE it has a bridged exhaust, I haven't seen a bridgeless smallbore since the mid-late 80's Honda CR's... You know way more on this Walt but I always thought the main stumbling block to boring a modern smallbore to beyound 58mm was the spacing on the head studs....the Husky has generous room with the studs placed much farther from the bore than on, say, a Honda CR.

Someone with a TM144 needs to volunteer their cylinder for Walt to check out!! Making a TM 175 would be much easier IMO than a Husky 175, TM has already solved the problems of rod length, crankcase clearance and compression, and port floors that can make stroking a motor a real nuisance....

Can you guys imagine a TM175 :applause: :applause::banana:? LOL I know for a FACT their 2011 TM 250Mx it to much for me but a 175.......

the Fantic 125 is a GasGas engine FWIW... I love the 125mx model. Easy import to the US per Canadian importer so long as it is a competition/off road use only import.
